RP-2002 Releasing Control Panel

Overview of RP-2002 Releasing Control Panel

RP-2002 Releasing Control Panel is a six-zone fire alarm control panel designed for single and dual hazard clean agent releasing applications. It provides fast detection, dependable signaling, and accurate control of fire suppression systems in commercial, industrial, and institutional facilities.

As a result, the panel delivers reliable protection for critical areas that require clean agent fire suppression.

Device Compatibility of RP-2002 Releasing Control Panel

The RP-2002 Releasing Control Panel supports a wide range of conventional initiating devices. These include two-wire and four-wire smoke detectors, manual pull stations, waterflow switches, tamper switches, and other normally open contact devices.

System Sensor i3 Detector Support

In addition, the panel is fully compatible with System Sensor i3 series detectors. These detectors provide maintenance trouble signals when cleaning is required. They also send supervisory freeze alerts when ambient temperature drops below approximately 45°F (7.22°C).

Outputs and Control Features of RP-2002 Releasing Control Panel

The panel includes four output circuits that can operate as Notification Appliance Circuits (NACs) or releasing circuits. Therefore, it allows flexible system design for different suppression applications.

Releasing and Notification Outputs

The RP-2002 Releasing Control Panel also provides three programmable Form-C relays for Alarm, Trouble, and Supervisory conditions. In addition, it offers both resettable and non-resettable 24 VDC power outputs on the main circuit board.

Supervision and Alarm Operation in RP-2002 Releasing Control Panel

The system continuously monitors field wiring, AC input, battery charger, and battery condition. Because of this supervision, the panel ensures stable and reliable operation.

When an initiating device activates, the panel triggers audible and visual notification appliances. At the same time, it displays alarm information on the backlit LCD, sounds the internal piezo sounder, and activates alarm relays. Moreover, optional modules can notify remote stations or control auxiliary equipment.

Releasing Functions and Standards Compliance

RP-2002 Releasing Control Panel meets NFPA 12, 12A, 12B, and NFPA 2001 requirements for clean agent releasing systems. It supports cross-zone (double-interlock) logic, dual hazard operation, and adjustable pre-discharge, discharge, and waterflow delay timers.

Furthermore, the panel is UL 864 (9th Edition) listed, FM approved, and compliant with International Building Code (IBC) seismic requirements.

Power Options for RP-2002 Releasing Control Panel

The RP-2002E version supports 220/240 VAC input power while offering the same features as the standard model. Consequently, the system suits both local and international installations.
